More about Briggs

The administrative staff manages and supports the entire flow of the system and the personal contact with the children reflects the caring and trusting objectives.
Our Teachers are trained and qualified, with a ratio of 12 -1 and 18-11 in Lower Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten respectively, and 23-1 in transition to JR5. All teachers are required to register with the Ministry of Education and to participate in ongoing education; to be able to meet the individual needs of the children, whether it is “high energy” or “positive curiosity” – this along with the developing changes in education globally.

Parent/ Teacher Conferences

These are held once per term, however you are free to call and make an appointment to discuss your child’s progress with the Principal, in collaboration with the class teacher, at any time during the year.

Pupil Evaluation Report
Children are monitored throughout the term and their progress is recorded. Official reports are sent home after the two testing periods –one at midyear and one at the end of the year.

The children’s all round development is officially noted, and documented and communicated to the parents. At Briggs we are certainly concerned with the total development of the whole child.
